Reason #6 - He will take you to heaven and give you eternal life

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me,
has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” Jesus, John 5:24

Have you ever pondered eternity? Perhaps you’ve tried to figure out the biggest number, or where the universe ends, or when time ends, or even how long the waves have been crashing on the seashore. You are created in the image of the eternal God and made by Him to live forever. This is why we all contemplate the awesomeness of eternity.

And, you will live forever in one of two places: heaven or hell. There’s no getting around it, and there’s no third choice. You won’t be annihilated, and you won’t be reincarnated. You will be judged by God, and from that judgment, your eternal destiny will be determined.

It’s a scary thought, is it not? Standing before God in judgment - the One who knows everything you’ve ever thought, everything you’ve ever said and everything you’ve ever done. And to realize that passing means you go to heaven and failing means you go to hell -
forever with no second chances. Only a fool would go through life unprepared for this ultimate “final exam.” Are you ready? Come to Jesus. He has already borne your judgment and He alone can deliver you from the certainty of God’s coming wrath upon the things you’ve done to violate His laws.

Remember, you will exist forever in either the bliss of heaven or the agony of hell. Some people don’t like the thought of eternity and wish they could just die someday and that would be the end of conscious existence. But that is not an option. For those without Christ, eternal existence will be unbearably terrible and there will be no escape. Come to Jesus, develop a relationship with Him and you will discover a life worth living - both now and into eternity.
